New reminiscence and learning resource packs available!
Over the past months, we have been very fortunate to join the Alzheimer’s Society Info Cafe online and share some of our favourite photographs and objects from the archives and museums collections. Our aim was to create a remote way of restarting some of the engagement activities we delivered at Whitehall before Covid-19.
We were amazed at the fascinating stories and memories that surfaced during our bi-weekly meeting with the group. The format of our sessions was very simple: we shared a presentation of High Definition images from our collections through Zoom, encouraging participation in an open and relaxed discussion – with some tea or coffee on the side!
On the occasion of Dementia Action Week 2021, we are launching Heritage Café Takeaway packs. These were created with organisations, care homes and carers in mind.
Each pack has a different theme, and includes two printable PDF files, with select images from our collection and accompanying information and conversation starters to help facilitate a ‘Heritage Café’ anywhere. You can find the first Heritage Café Takeaway, themed ‘Childhood’, here:
